Portland IQ Partner: Worksystems, Inc.

To ensure the growth of innovation in Portland, we need access to an educated workforce empowered with the skills to engage with innovative companies. And that’s the role of Portland IQ partner Worksystems, Inc., which works to ensure that our local workforce is engaged and prepared. 

Worksystems is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of the workforce in the Portland. The organization develops policies and designs workforce development programs which are delivered through a network of local partners to help Portland citizens access the skills, training, and education needed to advance their careers. Partners include employers, labor groups, government, community colleges, high schools, community-based and economic development organizations.

The mission of Worksystems is to coordinate a regional workforce system that supports individual prosperity and business competitiveness, ensuring that the public workforce system. The organization serves Portland businesses by developing qualified employees and empowering future workers with the skills they need to successfully engage, advance, and succeed in the labor market.

Worksystems Executive Director Andrew McGough serves on both the Portland IQ board and as co-chair of the Career Pathways Working Group.
